Nail Polish Haul

So i've been on this nail polish buying spree. Every time i go out i feel like i have to pick up a new bottle. This is just my little haul from Sally's and Ross one day shopping around town. You know, and China Glaze was on sale. I have a few more drug store polishes i've picked up as well, but i don't have pictures of those yet. How often do you treat your self to new polish presents? Do you feel like you have a problem sometimes?

We're Smart, Right? (Blue/Purple/Pink/Yellow)

I just woke up from a three hour surprise nap. It felt so dang good. With that being said, and on a entirely different subject, i need to start stepping up the makeup effort! I've been so lazy lately and feel like my efforts have been far below par. I need to get back to doing all the makeup drama so many of you follow my blog for. I'll get back on track, give me a day or two to get off the party clock. So to hold you over for a bit here's a look i'm not so crazy about.

Tickled Plum (Blue/Purple)

This post is full of awful pictures. And i have no idea why. Today was the longest day at work ever, that's probably why. Any who. I just got my order in today from Dawn Eyes Cosmetics, and i must say, i am excited. Also don't forget to check out all the glammy goodness in the recent Glamour Doll Eyes swatch post. I went to Sally's the other day specially to get this before it was gone. And since i had just this on for a day, i thought it would be a good importunity to how you all. Its one of m new favorite colors, i'm in love with it. Right next to "Flirty" What's your favorite polish as of late?

Dawn Eyes Cosmetics (Haul)

Some time last week while browsing the some of my favorite beaut blogs, and venturing onto some others, i saw along my way a gal mention a little company called Dawn Eyes Cosmetics.

Now, being me, of course i was excited when i saw this was another great little indie company chalk full of beautiful shadows. Dawn Eyes is a very small mineral make up company born out of the closing of another mineral makeup company. The owner invested in a bulk of raw ingredients from the closed company and so began her passion for creating mineral eye shadows.

I placed my order on the 22nd, and it was safely in my mail box on the 24th, I was super impressed with the turn around time. The owner, Dawn, was extremely helpful in placing my order. As you may or may not know, i will never place an order unless i can get my shadows in jars. I contacted Dawn in regard to getting some shadows to review. She offers special pricing for bloggers, but those prices are for samples in baggies. Dawn was nice enough to work with me and allow me to get my samples in jars, granted i just pay normal sample price ($1.00) and for shipping ($2.50). Over all, thus far my experience with Dawn Eyes Cosmetics has been amazing. I've yet to try my new shadows, but here is a quick sneak peak at my haul.

For The Blue Birds (Blue)

Today beat me down. I've been so tired as of late, and it's no fun. But i did find out i'm going to be going cliff diving this weekend, so that's exciting. :3 I don't have a lot to say today, only go check out the new GLAMOUR DOLL EYES SWACTHES that just got posted the other day. They have some delicious, i would place an order like yesterday if i were you.

Over The Top (Nails)

I've been getting so much polish lately, and i've been trying to use it all, and when i try to used it all, i end up with nails with all kinds of crazy on them, some times way to much going on. This is one of those looks. Do you ever find yourself unable to stop adding to your nails when your doing them?

Flog Glock (Green)

MORNING! I just got in from a long night of partying, shit was crackin' you know, besides the conventional drama that comes along with a good time. I'm going to be working on my swatch post for Glamour Doll Eyes today, because i've been super lagging it on swatches, and have about twenty more Beauty From The Earth colors to swatch. But i'm gonna get that going! Because i'm also going to place a Dawn Eyes order today and those will need to be done when they arrive. Oooo child, i love new makeup.

Good day! So i've been chatting away with the ladies on Polish-aholics Anonymous, and i must say, i love them over there! It's so nice to talk to people who don't think it's insane to have a new mani every other day! I really love the online community of makeup and polish and what not, i've mentioned it before, but in real life, i don't have a lot of girly friends. Especially not ones this into makeup and junk! Glamour Doll Eyes Swatches

I finally got around to swatching all the shadows from my recent Glamour Doll Eyes haul. If you've been looking at this company for a while, i highly recommend it. All the product i ordered i was very happy with. They are very professional in their packaging and you get all kinds of fun goodies with your order. The turn around time was excellent and i had had my packed to me in less then a week. Customer service was excellent. Over all i do love love love Glamour Doll Eyes, the colors, the formulas, and service. Now enjoy the delicious swatches.

Orly "Flirty" Stripes (Nails)

Soooo, i don't know if you have "Flirty" yet, but you have to get it, because it's the best color in the world and i love it soooooo much. My stripes didn't come out as clean as i would have liked, probably because i had the polish on to thick, but i still love the way this mani came out. Just because of "Flirty" mostly. Good day lovelies! How are you all?! I'm fantastic. I just saw one of the new OPI Halloween Duos, and i reallly reallly want it. It has a green glow in the dark jelly color that i'm dying to get a hole of. I heard its starting to be released in the US but its officially out some time in September. Geeeblez, i can't wait for September now. Are there any polishes your dying your hands on? Any anticipated releases?

My First Franken! "Pixley"

So, for a while i was very intimidated, but super intrigued but the idea of "frankening" nail polish. For those of you in the dark, "frankening" is basically just a term for mixing or making your own nail polish either by mixing old nail polishes together to make a new colors, or by using loose pigments mixed with a clear coat. I honestly did not expect to be this happy with my first color. It smells a little funny, and probably because i used old cheap polish, but i love this color! I've named it "Pixley"

So, i just bought myself an iPhone this past weekend. LOVE IT! I do not know how i lived with out a smart phone before. Excuse my language, but shit's crackin'

I just uploaded a gob of photos to my drive so let the scheduling begin! I refuse to leave you with out a daily post of some sort. For me a good draw on most blogs is daily updates. All my favorites update daily, or damn near daily. I need my beauty fix!

I'm still contemplating the Birch Box, and i think i'll give it a try. I'm also thinking about some thing else very very very big for me. But i need to put a lot of though and talk to some people before i release it t you all, but trust me, my loyal followers, you will be the first to know!

Infastructure (Nails)

Hey all! These nails i did like a week and a half ago, and i reallly really liked them. Then i got a new polish i was dying to try and took them off the next day >.< In nail news, i've been doing some "frankening" lately, its so much freeking fun! It makes me want to go a bunch of polish just to mix. I'm in love with it. And i'm starting to grow out my nails, i cut them all off last night to get off all the messed up parts, but i'm trying to start clean and fresh and grow myself some beautiful nails. Do you ladies prefer long or short nails? Do you have a tough time dealing with the crud that gets stuck under them some times? Do you think the length is worth the upkeep?

Often in the morning before work i'm left with a mere fifteen minutes to do my makeup, so some days i have to keep it little and simple. This was one of those days. This look is using BFTE and GDE. I hope to get going on my GDE swatch project pretty soon, because i know some of you are anxious to see all the glory.

Burning Revenge (Red)

Ello ello! I'm in a fantastic mood right now, i just submitted my guest look to Makeup Zombie and i'm still in awe of the fact that i have soared to 100 followers this past week! I've been so excited lately. I hardly know what to say right now other then thank you to all of you for the support. You keep me going. OH! And i just got new storage for my makeup, which i'm even more exited about. At the end of this post you'll be able to see my new and improved arrangement for my nail polish, it's quite nifty, but only capable of holding my current collection, and not much more. It'll have to be changed soon.

UpCycle (Nails)

When ever i have a mani on that i just can't stand to part with but it starts chipping anyways, i like to try and save it. With this one i had on China Glaze's "Purple Panic (Neon) and a very cute design stamped on it then it started chipping because i have a crappy top coat. So, i decided to do a little bit of a "gradient" on the chipped parts. This is the result. It's weird, but i liked it.

Island Bugs (Green)

Hola all! Today is the 5th, but this is going to be posted today, and as of right now i have 99 followers! Hopefully by the time this goes live i will be lucky enough to break into triple digits! How exciting would that be?! Today's look is a quick one i did in the morning before work using a variety of my favorite indie shadows. It's nothing to special, but still worth sharing, in my opinion. Stay till the end to see my first experiment with nail stamping plates.

what ever one, i dyed my hair. I am no longer bleach blond, but an ultramega ginger. My hair is preety bright orange right now, with yellow in the back, and i looooveeee it. When i tell people i have a makeup blog they always ask me, "why?" Really i get no gain from this other then personal satisfaction. I don't have people giving me free stuff, and no one is paying me to post every day. Some days it's a little tire some and some days making a new post is the last thing i want to do. But being recongnized by one of my favorite beauty bloggers, Makeup Zombie, as a blog she personally loves to read, yea, that makes my effort worth it. Just recently before Glamour Doll Eyes went on vacation, they had a quick a quiet sale announced on Facebook. This kind of thing shows how much it can pay off to like your favorite indie companies on Facebook, because this secret sale was 50% off everything in the store (minus Glamour Gloss)!!! So yea, went as crazy as make makeup budget allowed me. I got oodles of sample jars, and since GDE's is super awesome, my shipping was free, because GDE gives free shipping to all sample orders. Its raining here today. I'm not a fan of the rain. Southern California does not like rain. But complaining aside, i had a great time last night. It was a family affair going to see Kid Rock in concert last night. My dad was supposed to go with us but unfortunately, his condition has not improved enough yet to make that possible, which really sucks, because he was really looking forward to this show :( Regardless it was an amazing concert. You know, eve though we spent like an hour trying to get out of the parking lot afterwards.

Good day all! And hello to my newest followers! Work was slow today so they let me go early. I just got back from Sally's Beauty, i had a $5 off coupon and i had to use it. They were also having a sale! So i got seven bottles of polish for around $20. I do have to go back to get my seventh because it was out of stock, but i don't mind, it means i get to go back, not i have to. So after i do this post i'm going to go do my nails. Yay!

I seem to be on a green kick lately. I'm going to put a color poll up to try and encourage me to do more other colored looks. This one isn't may favorite, mostly because i neglected to wash my brushes before trying this. It got kinda fogged and haze and things just did not go as planned at all, but here it is any how.
