"Orange Cream" Feat: Lime Crime "Macarooned"

I promised you makeup. I am so glad to be getting back into the swing of doing my makeup on a regular basis. Every day i didn't do a look, i stared at the mountain I've dedicated to cosmetics in my room and thought to myself, what a waste. Now going back to my blog basics, I AM NO PRO. You may talk trash as it pleases your sad pathetic little heart, but if you are a decent person you will leave constructive criticism.

I love orange. Today i have for you a rather "toned down" look according to my typical "outrageous" standard. For this look today I used only three shadows.

I began by using Lime Crime "Macarooned" all over my lid. The application of this shadow was weird, but i believe it was only weird because i did not use a white base and my primer was acting a little funky this day.

 For the "crease" area, the bright orange, i used Sugarpill "Flamepoint" you know, the best orange in the world. Also from Sugarpill in this look, on my lower lash line i used "Buttercupcake"

I finished off this simple look with a healthy dose of Maybelline "Colossal Lash" mascara.

"Glitter Sandwich" Feat: China Glaze "Sunshine Pop"

So...i uploaded these pictures like....days ago...and forgot to make a post with them, because i was hungry that day, and my giant jar of apple sauce was far more important at the time. I'm determined to empty it by the end of the week because i reallly want the jar its in. I have a thing for glass jars, and i don't have one this big yet....don't judge me. Enough about my apple sauce jar... This mani was my "glitter sandwich" for a Polishaholics weekly challenge. I took a rather unconventional approach to this well recognized method.

I don't like yellow. On my. Okay, i lie. I've never worn yellow before. I love this polish though! I love ALL the Electropops. If there is one collection i adore, it's this one. Sunshine Pop is from the Brights portion of the collection and is one out of two shimmers. This is two solid coats. Out of all the the shades i have used so far this was the most temperamental formula, but honestly, it's not bad at all.

I took my Nabi "Black Glitter" striper and made various lines of random lengths from the tips of my nail to about half way up. I enjoy this. And i do believe you'll be seeing a lot more of this type design from me.

I used this Halloween Pumpkin polish made up of silver micro glitter and black round glitter all over my nail. I had to use two coats because this is a weak glitter. I'm not incredibly fond of it.

I then sandwiched it all between Essie "Waltz." I never use this polish because it's so sheer, and odd, and i don't have a used for it other then this. When i bought it i thought it was more opaque. That was forever ago, before i was addicted.

OPI "Did It On 'Em" from Nicki Minaj collection 2012

Today i have a quick post for you with some not so great swatches of OPI "Did It On 'Em" from the new Nicki Minaj collection. At first, meaning the press release, i was sooo excited about this collection and i was dead set of getting every piece of the collection. I'm no longer so thrilled. Between the press release and the physical release OPI changed the shades completely. However, walking through the mall i could not possibly pass up Planet Beauty with out checking on the polish racks. Originally, i was only going to get "Save Me," but i got %20 off if i got a second. "Did It On 'Em" caught my eye and i'm kicking myself for not getting "Fly" instead. 

Application: First coat was sheer and looked just like gross moldy lemon. I had to use three solid coats and them some to get the coverage that i did. And of course with multiple coats comes a slow dry time, hence the dent on my ring finger

Formula:Sheer, left bald spots, not a luscious cream. I would expect this coverage quality from a low end or drug store brand, but OPI is up with the top of the pop, and i found it awful and annoying.

Color/Finish: I do enjoy this color. Untrue to the horrid artificial lit photo, "Did It On 'Em" is a unique color in between green and yellow. Typically what most people would call chartreuse. I did not have a shade similar.If you can achieve even full coverage with this polish you will have a lovely cream, one of my favorite finishes but when used in a proper formula.

This has been my personal experience with this particular polish, if you had a better, similar, or worse experience i'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

Giraffe (Gold/Brown)

Good day lovelies! Welcome to another never ending Tuesday! Tuesdays for me always seem to be the longest day of the week. Especially today, because i'm gonna go to the fair tomorrow :3 I better be going to the fair tomorrow. I'm going to make sure of it >:L

Today's look is kinda odd for me, because i really like the brown in it, which reminds me...i need to go wash my brushes, because they all look like poo right now.

Sun (Yellow)

I love that blogging only requires me to touch a keyboard, because i'm waiting for my nails to dry. Why can't nail polish be instantly dry so i can just get on with my life and design?! Besides doing my nails, i've decided to be productive ans swatch all my Dawn Eyes shadows, which i will be putting up some time in the next few days. I'm excited to share those swatches because there are some preety fantastic colors. And after those get up, i'm moving on to my Beauty From the Earth haul! Lots of goodies in there :3 But untill i get those done here is a look using some Unique Pigments and a Dawn Eyes shadow

Cherish (Yellow/Red)

Hellllooo postage lag! I need to get my crap together. I went to go see Rancid last night (sickkkkk) in Pomona. Third time i've seen them and they never disappoint. I even got a drum stick this time ;D. So i'm a little sore from being crushed last night so excuse this sloppy post. Been to any good shows lately? Have any planned?

Heeeellooooooooo.Breaking out the Sugarpill pallets for today's look! Today was such a long day. Staring at the clock at work, i thought my day would never end. It went by so slow, but i've kinda found a method to make time more fun. I just think of every hour or half hour as either a number of jars of eye shadow or in bottles of nail polish. Yes, i measure time in bottles of nail polish. Now try to enjoy my super summery pink and yellow look! BTW, stole the name for this look from the band 3-11

So for the past week or so i've been kinda chillin' on blog maintenance. If i haven't been replying to comments, i'm not around on your blog, or you feel a little lost, it's because i scheduled like more then a week of posts in advance in case a week like this came up. omfg, you do not even know what i've been doing. Katt is having herself a wonderful summer right now. I've been smiling a lot lately, one activity i dearly miss.

Sizzlefoshizzle (Red/Yellow/Orange)

Hey ladiesss!!!(And guys) Today, minus the 5 hour drive to Fresno was an excellent day. As i've mentioned before, my dad was run over by a truck, some time near the end of march. Today we're going on about a month in the ICU, but today was an excellent day. Last time i came up here he was knocked out 24/7 and he didn't even open his eyes. He didn't even know we where there. But today i walked into the unit and his eyes and mine lit up when we saw each other. He was talking (whispering) and wide awake when we showed up today. it was wonderful to see he making such exceptional healing progress. Might even be out of the ICU soon. Yay progress!

Lemend (Yellow)

Hey all! Guess what? I'm done with high school. Checked out yesterday, which is why i failed to post this look. I was to busy being out enjoying not having to wake up early this morning. that and i had about 3 hours of training at Aero and i went to the Pirates of the Caribbean midnight showing  last night. And due to my Aero training this look is tones down because i can't really be to dramatic there :p Hope you enjoy any ways.

If i were to make a list of things i'm sick of right now, it would never end. So i'll spare you your time. I'm ready to wind down for the night but i wanted to get this post up because i feel...weird not doing it every night now. I've gotten into the habit and it's hard for my mind to rest knowing i haven't posted my LOTD. Is my passion showing yet? lol. Oh and today i got a lovely e-mail from Photobucket. I am nearing my maximum amount of bandwidth for this month and it will reset on the 26th of next month. I have 3GB left on my current account for the month. -__- So how do we solve this problem with out disabling all my photos 'till the 26th?! Open a new Photobucket account of course! Enjoy. ;)

Got This (Red/Orange)

Guess what every one! I got offered a position at Aero! (Yay) This will be my first job so i'm preety dang excited. The only problem i'm gonna have is dressing all toned down and not so skanky.>.< So i went out today and got a few plain t-shirts, decent length shorts, and colored tanktops. It's going to be interesting. Because i kinda dress the way i do my makeup, over the top and a bit too eccentric. I can handle it! I wore this look to Walmart today. It was an excuse to do my makeup today. lol.I'm gonna have to talk to my new manager about my makeup, and how crazy i can get with it.

Start Summer (Green/Blue/Yellow)

Srping Me (Pink/Yellow/Orange)

Hello all! I hope your having a wonderful day. I'm trying to! Hahah. But my prom is tomorrow so i'm pretty excited for that :D Gonna look like some crazy >.> And i don't know if you've noticed lately, but i just recently broke 10,000 views! (Wooooo) It's very exciting for me.I mean, seriously....danngggg. I look so forward to this blog every day it's a little retarded, it's kinda become my driving force in life. I'm ALWAYS thinking about it. I feel crazy. And i don't even want to be like a pro makeup artist or anything. I'm not going to beauty school. haha >.< Any who, Today is a mainly BFTE day! I loveeee it. Hope you do too

Miss Matches (Red/Yellow)

 So as you may or may not know, i do my makeup like almost in the dark every morning. I have my purple Christmas lights and my lighted mirror, but that's really it. I'm not fond of light before the sun comes up. I'm a vampire that way. So yea, i had all the colors i wanted to use for today's look in my head. But when i went to write them all down, i realized that i had grabbed one wrong jar of BFTE. I meant to use Isis, but instead ended up with Livid. >.< I was angry at myself for a few seconds, then i saw the pictures. And it worked. I still felt super stupid for not realizing it was the wrong color. I even looked at it, and though, wow, this looks awful dark for Isis... Have you ever accidentally used a product you didn't mean to in a look? I'd love to hear, how did it turn out?

Sour (Yellow/Green)

I did my bright green look, even though it ended up being mostly yellow. :# Don't say anything, because i love it just the same...You know bedsides the fact that i attempted to for from super shimmer foiled pigments and tried to use matte shadows for the brow bone. Guess what, it doesn't work so well. I guess it works if you wanna look like you've just done two very different things on one eye. But i mean, come on now, Some one need to know some sense into me. And i think this will be the post to do it. I understand now, it's not going to work. Oh oh oh! And the Target Haul #2 concluded today! Electric Circuit (Nails)

I did these nails a few days ago and had them on for less then a day -__- i have a problem, because after i'm done posting this i'm scheduling another nail post of my nails that i painted last night...and have already been picked off. Hey, at leasting i'm making use of my zillions of bottles of nail polish. 

Tropics (Yellow/Green/Blue)

Yesterday was the very last of the tiny bit of warmth we're going to have here all week. It's now raining and cold. SoCal weather is the crazyness. So i guess it was appropriate to celebrate the warm weather with this bright ultra colorful look. I really liked this one a lot...after the green stopped being so prissy. Also, the Target Haul #2 has begun with the first review of the Sally Hansen HD polish in Lite.

Space Queen (Pink/Yellow/Purple)

My loves, Sugarpill and Beauty From the Earth have been combined by my hand for the first time! I've been so wrapped up in the excitement of my new BFTE colors i forgot all about my Sugarpill. And if you've been following my blog you know i LOOOVEEE me some Sugarpill. I wanted to do something exuberantly bright today, so i opted for some of my favorite colors to create the out of the galaxy look.
