"Bunny Nails" Feat: Orly "Flirty"

They're cute hu? I got my idea for my bunny nails from Cute Polish around Easter. If you have never watched any of her videos i'd go check them out because, she has tons of tutorials that are easy to follow and excellent for people who don't feel confident in their nail art skills.
For this mani...
Orly "Flirty"
Wet n' Wild "French White"
China Glaze "Side Saddle"
Nubar "Oh Baby Pink"
Orly "Flirty" Happy Go Lucky 2011
I will never stop loving this polish. It was one of the firsts in my polish obsession and remains to this day to be one of my favorites. "Flirty" is a bight pink creme shimmer polish that dried with an interesting but not awful texture. In fact the texture is quite neat. My only gripe about this polish would be that the formula does have a tendency to be a little thick, but that helps to achieve opacity in two coats, shown above.
Wet n' Wild "French White" Core Wild Shine
Using the brush from French White i created half circles on my ring finger and thumb. With a dotting tool a used a generous amount to create the ears by dragging down a dollop into the half circle. This step can be rather intimidating, but if you practice on a nail wheel or even paper first you will be able to do this with confidence. Just remember to take your time. Also make sure you are using an opaque white. Sheer whites will only become troublesome.
China Glaze "Side Saddle" Rodeo Diva 2008
Nubar "Oh Baby Pink" Hypnotic Valentine 2010
With a dotting tool i used "Side Saddle" a dark shimmer brown for two large dots to begin my eyes. With a smaller dotting tool i made a small oval for the nose and filled in the ears.
Wet n' Wild "French White" Core Wild Shine
Again with the French White and my dotting tools. I used a medium dotting tool for the eyes. I continued with a larger dotting tool and gobs of polish to create my dripping mani on the rest of my nails. I achieved this by placing a series of dots where i wanted the drips to end and continued by filling in the empty spaces by dragging around the polish with my dotting tool. I was sure to be generous in the process to ensure i didn't snag on my layer of "Flirty."
I finished with a top coat. This was such a simple design that i positively loved. It does take a bit of time and patience but i do think the end product it worth it.

Fab Five for February

I found my self severely in love with a few many tons of polish through out the month of February, and i wanted to show you a few of my favorites. I've narrowed it down to my Fab Five, which i hope to be a reoccurring monthly segment on my blog.
BEHOLD! My Fab Five for February.
China Glaze "Dance Baby" , Essie "Armed and Ready" , Sally Hansen "Wedding Crasher" , Kleancolor "Holo Pink" , Barielle "Buddah-ful"
China Glaze "Dance Baby" from the Electropop collection.
I love this lacquer because it is the candy creme pink i have been dreaming of. Smooth and perfect formula gives perfect coverage in two coats. It looks much lighter in the bottle but on the nail is the perfect bubble gum pink.
Essie "Armed and Ready" from the Go Overboard collection.
This polish is difficult to appreciate if your not in person. Hidden below the much of the dark army gray green are tons of micro gold sparkles that only make an appearance in the sun.
Sally Hansen "Wedding Crasher" for the Diamond Strength line.
This is a favorite of mine because it's a glitter that can be worn alone or layered in top of pinks and purples to entirely change the whole look of the color. Pink and silver glitter sit in a highly pink tinted base with a dreamy formula similar to the rest of the Diamond Strength line.
Kleancolor "Pink Holo"
I feel like this polish is like "Wedding Crasher's" little sister. It is another glitter good for layering or to be worn alone. I wore this over "Dance Baby" and could not take my eyes off my nails. I have a soft spot for perfect pinks and glitter, especially holo glitter.
And lastly "Buddah-ful" by Barielle
This polish is...lets say unique. A light milky nude jelly base with green flakies and incredibly difficult to photograph. This is best layer over other polish but the nude base highly dilutes any color under it. I've yet to find the perfect pair for this polish but am no less infatuated with it.

"Pink Goodness" Feat: China Glaze "Dance Baby"

PINK! Growing up, i never liked the color pink. It was icky, to girly, and just not me. Then i became officially female and some switch in my brain was flicked. Now it's not my favorite color in the world, but it;s on the top five. Especially since it looks good on my nails. These are a few of m new favorite pink polishes all wrapped up into one mani.
 For this mani...
China Glaze "Dance Baby"
Kleancolor "Holo Pink"
Kleancolor "Mix Signal"
To the left natural light in the shade, and direct sunlight on the right. China Glaze "Dance Baby" has become one of my all time favorite polishes. If i had to pink one pink in the whole world this would be it. Electropop came with some amazing shades, but this one is the tops.
I layered one coat of "Holo Pink" and one coat of "Mix Signal" to get to this sparkly pink goodness.
I did mess these nails up a bit because the Kleancolor polishes take forever and a day to dry. I had squishy nails almost all day long.

Sally Hansen "Wedding Crasher"

BEHOLD! My new favorite glitter polish, "Wedding Crasher" by Sally Hansen from the recent revamped Diamond Strength line. "Glass Slipper" seemed to steal the show at first form this line, but there are so many more dazzling gems in the collection. It seems every time i'm in a drug store i end up leaving with another part of the collcetion. In these photos i have it over Zoya "Zara" because i muffed up that mani by being to impatient and not letting it dry. In addition to being a perfectly stunning fuchsia glitter, sitting in a perfectly fuchsia jelly base "Wedding Crasher" offers a full coverage glitter mani, with out being a full coverage glitter. Since it sits in a pink jelly base, it covers up the empty spaces a pure glitter would leave. Because of this quality you can use two coats and have full glitter.

Personally, i love this glitter over purple. I started with a purple "Zara" mani and used "Wedding Crasher," one coat over the top. Like my saying "Glitter fixed everything" goes, all the bumps, knicks, and smudged spots were instantly covered with a fantastic fuchsia vale. I highly recommend this polish. It has a WONDERFUL formula and can be obtained at a reasonable price. The Diamond Strength line is one i look forward to owning much more of.

Sparkling Feat: Orly "Oh! Cabana Boy" and Finger Paints "Motley"

Good day! Observe; how long it took me to post this new mani. Please peek at the date on the photo,...and now, the date on the post. I'm slow. But guess what? YOU HERE! And i love and adore each and every one of you for wasting your free time actually READING my blog. I wish i could give you al giant awkward hugs and give you chicken yogurt.

For this mani!
Orly "Oh! Cabana Boy"
Santee "Emerald"
Sally Hansen "Black Diamonds"
Finger Paints "Motley"

Dotting Tool
Imagine; a tropical island. Warm sun lightly toasting your skin as the UV rays beam down on you and your unprotected flesh. Salted sea water covering your sand sunken toes, lounging under an umbrella right out of a fruity cocktail, and your cabana boy with overly feminine soft hands gently polishing your nails a shocking pink. You cabana boy is also wearing a light pink polo shirt and hot pink short shorts.
"To add some corresponding shimmer to the blue duo-chrome of the pink," Cabana Boy will begin "I am going to used some Santee "Emerald" over the pink." He reaches for new polish then, with his girlish fingers he guides Black Diamonds across the corner tips of your nails, lightly twisting your comparably positively repulsive, calloused, dry, common woman's hands. Delicately, he dots along the corner tips.
Finally, you get to take a picture to capture the Motley flakies Cabana Boy used over Black Diamonds only to find that you have suffered terrifying tip wear from digging for clams to smuggle on the plane home, to pretend like your in paradise when you return home to your cluttered abode in your kitty pool full of sand and you natural light sun bulb for photographing your nails.

Color Club "Fashion Addict"

As i've mentioned before, i recently participated in a Secret Santa gift exchange. I had the best Santa ever. I never expected to receive a holo at all. She sent me two. Granted, this is not GOSH or some fancy OPI, but this was something i could genuinely not get my hands on, and honestly didn't even know existed. So i was pretty excited.

Light rosy pink and super spectacular "Fashion Addict" made my heart skip a beat. I almost hated taking pictures of it because i became so frustrated trying to capture it's amazing. I wish i would have at least cleaned up my cuticles to make this even prettier. But i'm lazy.

Keeping Karma (Pink)

Guess what?! I'm sick! I hate being sick, but the winter season is approaching and it was bound to happen some time. I'm not horribly sick yet, but sick never the less. I've spent all day just moving to different areas of the house eating and sleeping. That's a lazy Sunday for you. On a happier note, i picked up Back to Boho part A, and Poptastic collections by Color Club on Friday. Nail polish will never stop making me happy.
