Primped for Prom!

I know a lot of you saw the Prom Practice post and have been eagerly anticipating my finished product. Well the magical night had finally arrived, and after about four long hours of applying pounds of foundation, eyeshadows, lash glue and crystals it finally all came together. I had a great time at prom and to my great surprise, all my rhinestones stayed on my face threw the night. I think i lost about 2, but for the most part i remained as purple and sparkly as i had started. I spend forever blending together purples and and decided what i should do for my eyes. Eventually it all fell into place. Thank goodness.

For some reason i though i got a lot more pictures.

Quest For "Candy Yum Yum" (Dupe Search)

So this is only the beginning of my Quest for a perfect dupe of MAC's coveted Candy Yum Yum. I have searched high and low through the rows and rows of makeup at my local drug stores, Walmart, Target, and online. these are four lipsticks i picked up last weekend that i though came close. But FEAR NOT! I plan of searching for MORE because i'm not yet satisfied. I want to order a few from online and junk too. These are NOT SWATCHED IN THIS POST, but i will be sure to promptly swatch a review them for you in the NEXT COUPLE DAYS. Let me know if there's a specific one you want to see first. Srping Me (Pink/Yellow/Orange)

Hello all! I hope your having a wonderful day. I'm trying to! Hahah. But my prom is tomorrow so i'm pretty excited for that :D Gonna look like some crazy >.> And i don't know if you've noticed lately, but i just recently broke 10,000 views! (Wooooo) It's very exciting for me.I mean, seriously....danngggg. I look so forward to this blog every day it's a little retarded, it's kinda become my driving force in life. I'm ALWAYS thinking about it. I feel crazy. And i don't even want to be like a pro makeup artist or anything. I'm not going to beauty school. haha >.< Any who, Today is a mainly BFTE day! Wet N' Wild ColorIcon Pencils in White and Silver (Review)

Wet n' Wild sure is creative with their product names hu? I picked these up at Walgreens last weekend for really no reason other then the fact that they we're only $0.69! I got two of their lipsticks too. So this review isn't aprt of a haul or anything. Just a filler untill i decide if i'm going to to Quest for Candy Yum Yum, or Products for Prom next. VOTE IN THE POLL ON THE SIDE BAR! ---> Help me decide!

Oh, and back on the Walgreen's thing. I am never going to their makeup section ever ever again.

Everything was either sticky or covered in this weird oily substance. I had like three people that worked there hovering over me making sure i wasn't stealing anything. And it took forever to check out because every one there pays in cash and has to dig threw their purses to find their coupons -__- It was terrible. And the guy at the register was a total creeper.

Miss Matches (Red/Yellow)

 So as you may or may not know, i do my makeup like almost in the dark every morning. I have my purple Christmas lights and my lighted mirror, but that's really it. I'm not fond of light before the sun comes up. I'm a vampire that way. So yea, i had all the colors i wanted to use for today's look in my head. But when i went to write them all down, i realized that i had grabbed one wrong jar of BFTE. I meant to use Isis, but instead ended up with Livid. >.< I was angry at myself for a few seconds, then i saw the pictures. And it worked. I still felt super stupid for not realizing it was the wrong color. I even looked at it, and though, wow, this looks awful dark for Isis... Have you ever accidentally used a product you didn't mean to in a look? I'd love to hear, how did it turn out?

Pretty Patchwork (Nails)

 

For this nail look i wanted to kinda upcyle my old Water Manicure I did last week since i still had on two nails from it...only because i was having a hard time picking them off. So i added on the those two remain nails and kinda used them as "accent" nails. Really, i think if your going to have an "accent" nail...it should at least accent something, i dunno, like ANOTHER NAIL?! Just saying. Enjoy my messy nails

Happy Tuesday every one!(I hate Tuesdays) HELLO NEW FOLLOWERS!(Love new followers!) And guess what?! Happy Lip Stick Haul Wrap-up day!!! All the links to reviews have been posted on each post of the lipstick haul, and the Lip Stick Haul post it's self. And uhh, since that haul has been warped up i'm probably going to begin my "Products for Prom" Haul next. there's loads of stuff in there including a some Maybelline "Fit Me" foundations...which i'm going to have a difficult time reviewing because i don't wear foundation...New "Color Plush" pallets, a few random purple eye shadows, and maybe some other stuff...i don't really remember >.< As for today's look, you may have noticed i've been stuck on the pinks...today i switched it up a little bit and did some blue and green with my love love love, Sugarpill...and of course some Beauty From the Earth. I plan on getting some new shadows sometime in May but i haven't decided from where yet. It might be a combo of Fyrinnae and Glamour Doll Eyes...But only time will tell.

Rimmel Moisture renew Lipstick in "Berry Rose" (Review)

Hooray! the last post for the Lip Stick Haul! This wasn't as scary as i though it would be. Now what is scary are all the pink lipstick i got this weekend trying to find a perfect CYY dupe. I got close, but not there yet. Is there a preference on what you gals want to see next? THE QUEST FOR CANDY YUM YUM, or PRODUCTS FOR PROM. Yes, i'm 18 and still in high school, and i'm doing some crazy for prom. I'll be sure to put it up. I'm doing a test run today. Does any one know where to get lash glue? Because i haven't been able to find any.I need it to glue rhinestones to my face. Anyways...Quest for CYY includes four different lip colors that come close but not quite there. Products for Prom consists of the new Fit Me Foundations. A Dream Matte Mouse Foundation. Some Maybelline Color Plush pallets, and two random purple eye shadows i got. I'll put a poll up on the side bar and see what you want next. Either way i'm in for a ton of swatching. I was at the mall again this weekend to pick up my prom dress and my arm is still stained with lip stick swatches.

So Cal Sky (Pink/Purple)

I knowwww, you must be sick of seeing pink and purple, pink and purple, pink and purple. I'm gonna do blue or green tomorrow. Because i'm sick of it to. So i named this look after the sun sets we have here in So Cal, they look like this look. Pink and purple with a bit of orange on the horizon. It's reaaallly beautiful, but we pay a terrible price for it. You know smog city down in the suburbs of the big city. I actually live about three miles away from the most polluted intersection in the country. Right down the street from my school. It's a really great fun fact to tell people who come to visit. They're always kinda like :o OH REALLYYY NOW?!....oh...oh that's awful.I also have immediate access to the "Worst Drive in America!" AKA the 91 Freeway. Southern California is a wonderful place to call home :D And if your searching for the light at the end of the lipstick tunnel, the first Lip Stick Haul will wrap up tomorrow, then i'll share with you my Candy Yum Yum dupe search haul.

Cover Girl Lip Perfection Lipstick in "Spellbound" (Review)

Yay! More lipstick! I'm addicted! Yay! Haha. I went and got like...four new ones this weekend, trying to find one to replace my craving for Candy Yum Yum, and well, it's not working great. Still haven't found one i'm happy with. So in addition to every thing form the LipStick Haul, be expecting, you know, a QUEST FOR CANDY YUM YUM HAUL! Very soon.....i'm obsessed. And i don't even have it. OH! What i wanted to tell you all. I was at the mall on Friday and had to peak my head into MAC because i saw they had all the spots filled on the Quite Cute display. So yea, i got SUUUUPPEERRRRR excited because i saw that the place where CYY used to be was now filled! I walked up to it sooooo hopeful and sooo ecstatic..Even if that was the only one they had, i probably would have just walked out with the tester if they said i couldn't buy it. But no, no. You know what they did....They just replaced CYY in the display with a lipstick that looked, welll. almost nothing like it. It was a much darker pink, with shimmer in it, and i almost threw it across the room. So yea. Had to share that little story. -___-

Prom Practice (Purple)

My prom is almost here :) And i know some bitch is going to have the same dress i'm wearing, because i got it from the mall. So in order to set me apart from possible copy Katts, and just because i'm like this and was going to do something crazy anyways. I'm basically turning myself purple. I went to Walmart and picked up some new products, that i will soon be sharing with you, and did a test run today. I came out and showed my mom when just half my face was purple and she hated it. Now i need you to keep in mind THIS IS JUST A TEST RUN. I have a much more well thought out plan for prom night. But i wanted to share this for you and present the opportunity for any of you to give your input, or offer suggestions. I basically know what i want to do. But i don't think you can ever have to many beautiful minds working on one project.

And if you kinda have it in your head right now that i'm minimally insane for doing this, it's okay. I know.

Cover Girl Lip Perfection Lipstick in "Embrace" (Review)

I'm verrryyy excited to be doing these lipstick reviews because i'm having so much fun with them. Even though i have NO BUSINESS wearing lipstick right now with my amazing "drag queen hooker makeup" (Mom's word's not mine). A few of your pricked up your ears wen you saw i had a few of the Cover Girl Lip Perfections in the LipStick Haul, and now i know why. These are amazing! But i'm telling you now that the review on this one may be a little deceiving due to the pictures because Embrace photographs totally different. I tried to get some "Real Life" quality pictures so you can tell, but i think between all the pictures and swatches you should be able to put together the actual or approximate color of this.

Blehhh (Purple)

Ever feel like your the only one around with a brain? Or like you have to solve the problems of every one around you because they're to helpless or brainless to solve them their selves. I feel like that. I feel like i'm the only one in the group who thinks more then five minutes ahead. And to think, i started out the day feeling important, did my makeup in a hurry, because i though plans were being held up just for me. That people were actually waiting for me, because they wanted me there, and not just a ride. I'm over people. I'm just going to hang out with my cat from now on. And if they want me around, they can come get me next time. Any who. Enough about me, more about makeup. The second part of the Lip Stick Haul was posted today! :D And i also went on the search for the perfect Candy Yum Yum dupe today.....not so much luck. But i'll share those soon. ^.^

N.Y.C. Ultra Last Lipwear in "Lilac Dream" (Review)

Goodness me it's late. No witty comments right now because i just want to get this look up. But i will tel you that i picked up a few Wet N' Wild products today. :3 I'll tell you about them tomorrow. N.Y.C. Ultra Moist Lipwear in "Petal" (Review)

Ready? This marks the official start of my venture into lip color. If you read the LipStick haul post you'll know that this is a territory very very new to me and that i was very nervous going into this area of makeup. This was the first color i picked out. I was looking for something really close to me natural lip color and this is basically as close as it gets. lol, you can hardly notice when i have this on. It's basically a nude shade for me.

LOOK AT ME! (Green/Pink/Blue)

Do you ever feel like just being obnoxious with your makeup? Today i did. And when i feel like being obnoxious, i reach for Sugarpill. And when i want to be extra obnoxious, i fill in my eye brows with purple eye liner. Today is one of those days. One of those day's when i go into school late and have way to much time to sit at my vanity and keep pulling out more and more colors. Then i open the drawer to my right and discover that i still have an ungodly amount of glitter. I'm talking enough glitter that i should never have to buy glitter ever again. But i love glitter to much. Hence why i have about a full pound of glitter. American pound...not those other prounds. I'm from America! We don't like your reasonable measurements! My mom just came up to me and said this "Why do you look like such a drag queen today?!?!, Let me see! Oh gawd, that's a little much don't you think? Why do your dress like such a hooker?! Your not a hooker?! Are you?!!?!!?" :)

Water Manicure, Take Two

Really, if your expecting this to be amazing, you are sadly mistaken. this is just me trying to figure out the magical technique. I mean, really, look at my first try ,I dare you. This time i tried this with some better quality polishes, and well, tried to take some more time with this hoping it would be better. Some of them turned out good...others, well, not so much. But it did get better! But i still had loads of polish on my fingers because i'm not smart enough to listen to any one's advise....

Striking (Black/Silver)

Omg, i can't wait to get home and update my blog today. I really like this look, i hope the girls online like it too...Okay, upload pictures to computer, crop, upload to photobuck-.....what?...whattt?! PHOTOBUCKET! What's wrong?! What's wrong photobucket, wh wh why arn't you working! HOw am i supposed to update if photobucket isn't working...omg...omg...what can i do...what should i do...I can't just NOT POST! That would be to crazy. Uuuuhhh....ahhhhh....Ummm okay, Google. LipStick Haul (Cover Girl, Rimmel, and N.Y.C.)

Every time i went to visit i always turned away so koi, avoiding any contact. They made me nervous, they made me feel out of place.  I snuck a peak every now and then, maybe a quick little touch or two but always ran away intimidated before any one could see me. I would never been seen admiring their beauty. But when ever i turned my back i could hear the lipsticks laughing at me. For so long i was so scared of lip color. What looks good on me? What if i look like a beat up hooker? What if i do it wrong, or pick the wrong shade?! The girls online will laugh at me, i'm sure of it(Which you gals haven't, :D) One day, i got over it...

Pinkin' (Pink)

It's a BFTE day :D I love using all thier colors but i feel like i could be doing so much more with them. They're all so beautiful, and i feel like i'm just doing blahhh. I think it's because i wasn't using much else. I need to mix these with a bright solid base, this would have been amazzzzing over Dollypop or something like that. Humm, i'll play around with that idea. Untill then, enjoy this semi-bleh look.

N.Y.C Color Duet in "Island Sunset" (Review)

Not to long ago i did a review post of the N.Y.C. color Duets in "Bowling Green" and "Upper Zest Side" as part of the Walmart Haul. In the review it should have been clear that i loved them. So, folowing up on my love for this pint sized product, i bring to you the beautiful Island Sunset.

Real Life (Red)

I had to prove to myself today that i can control myself! So this is a very toned down look compared to others on here. I also broke out the eye liner...and discovered that i am out of black khol liner and that i neeeed to get more. Be sure to check out the recently completed Target Haul #2. Lol, oh and this look is missing something; after i went out, and i was in the car half way to my destination i went to itch my eye lashes...i wasn't wearing mascara...i felt like a genius.

Well now the series continues with just a little bit more seriousness. He did have on some glitter pink lips but those were gone before we took pictures. Sea Side Sunset (Pink/Blue)

As the sun shined down here in lovely SoCal the temperature reached a perfect 86 degrees, and the coast was calling. Sitting down at my vanity with the image of the beach in my head; sun, sand, and the cool splash of the water against my skin, i though to myself; today would be a prefect day for a simple look, maybe a light orange or yellow with a winged liner. Well, this is my simple beach daytime winged liner look....i have a problem. As soon  i started to pull out pigments i found myself in way to deep to stop now. MORE SHIMMER! I screamed in my head as i packed on ounces of Lumi to my brow bone, and slathered my eye with Starling...

I love doing nail posts because they're easy. It's a quick post for me. Not a lot of typing and really laid back. Because as you all should know. I am nooo nail tech. I'm just a simple girl with a lot of nail polish. Oh and these two new polishes i got :3 They're amazing. I'm in love.

Name That Collection Contest

Sour (Yellow/Green)

I did my bright green look, even though it ended up being mostly yellow. :# Don't say anything, because i love it just the same...You know bedsides the fact that i attempted to for from super shimmer foiled pigments and tried to use matte shadows for the brow bone. Guess what, it doesn't work so well. I guess it works if you wanna look like you've just done two very different things on one eye. But i mean, come on now, Some one need to know some sense into me. And i think this will be the post to do it. I understand now, it's not going to work. Oh oh oh! And the Target Haul #2 concluded today! I'll be adding all the links in today for easy navigation of the entire haul :D

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Maincure in "Purple Pulse" (Review)

THE LAST OF TARGET HAUL #2!!! You know, just ,....another purple nail polish. Because i love purple.

Oh,Wispy (Purple/Pink/Blue(?))

You must look at this and think to yourself, how in the world did she decide to combine all these colors together. Well, i'll tell you. I have all my BFTE pigments sitting out on my vanity all the time, i sit down a pick a color to start. Then i pick 3 or 4 more that i think may or may not go with it. Then i pick some more, Then i put a few back, and pull up some more untill i'm satisfied. Really, i don't plan very well. I sit down and just start packing on the shadow based on the shirt i just put on about 5 minutes ago. Most of the time it doesn't end up matching at all, i just walk out the door in my borderline drag makeup, and rock it.

Essie Nail Polish in "Trophy Wife" and "Sexy Divide" (Reviw)

Almost to the end to Target Haul #2. Are you as excited as i am?! Haha probably not, I don't know, i get excited about finishing haul reviews.Today i have for you two very lovely colors by Essie "Trophy Wife' that amazing teal color, and "Sexy Divide" a delicious purple. Sunk (Blue/Gold)

Today's look was originally going to be pink and gold, then i wanted blue, then i saw Royal Sugar sitting in my vanity, and HAD to use it immediately. In other news, i'm astounded by the recent activity on my blog and super happy to see all of it. I hit 7,000 views today for geebuz sake! I wanted to do a green look today, but it seems they always end up dark.It's using mostly all BFTE, but i promise, tomorrow, i'll use other products for the majority. I'm going to have to work on that :/

L'Oreal HiP Metallic Shadow Duo in "Platinum" (Review)

Trying my best to finish up this Target Haul #2 as fast as i can. Here is the last of the eye products from this haul. If you've seen the Target Haul #2 post you would know that about half of it is new nail polishes....that i'm very excited about. And hey, while your at it, check out Target Haul #1.  Oh, and don't forget about the other L'Oreal HiP duo reviewed form that haulAfter i'm done with this haul i'm going to share my first venture into lipsticks. I got five new ones over the weekend, two or three which i have already smashed into the caps -__-

Day Dreaming(Pink/Blue)

Monday is a day i've just learned to get threw. Every week i get up at 5:30am and try to put on a happy face. Walking out into the brisk morning air is nothing like it's supposed to be. It's icy and cold, and i can only dream of a better tomorrow. It's okay, because i know i get to come home to my blog and my kitty. It's something to look forward to after i've climbed in the house threw the kitchen window. Anywho...today's look is primarily a Beauty From the Earth look. I love their colors. They play nice together.

Hey, at leasting i'm making use of my zillions of bottles of nail polish.

My eyebrows are beautiful today. Haha. Today was just a lazy day around the house spent cleaning so i didn't do much makeup. I only did this because my family was going out to dinner. I didn't have a lot of time so i just put together this very subtle, (subtle for me) soft pink and purple look.

Milani Baked Eye Shadows in "Teal the Truth" and "Perrr-fect Purple" (Review)

These metallic baked eye shadows from Milani are a new favorite of mine. I think they're just a tid-bit better then the regular Milani shadows Lilly White and Black Out as featured in the first Target Haul. As opposed to the new Target Haul #2!, which this is the third part of. Now that i've awkwardly combined all those sentences, lets get to reviewing.

So let me let you all know that i'm angry that Word gives you the option to save things you've purposely done. Tropics (Yellow/Green/Blue)

Yesterday was the very last of the tiny bit of warmth we're going to have here all week. It's now raining and cold. SoCal weather is the crazyness. So i guess it was appropriate to celebrate the warm weather with this bright ultra colorful look. I really liked this one a lot...after the green stopped being so prissy.
