"Dazzled to Death" Feat: Orly "Ingenue"

Good day lovelies! Now, i have some semi-exciting news for Kattatonic Fierceology. I know that most of you began following my blog because of the makeup, daily looks, and real life product reviews. I'm trying to get back to that. I've been wearing all my makeups again, and as soon as my skills are up to par, or at least my previous standard you'll be seeing makeup looks again mingled in with new product reviews, and of course nail looks and step by steps. One review i am psyched about coming up is the new Palette d' Antoinette from Lime Crime cosmetics that should be here very soon, if not today! This mani began with two coats of Orly "Ingenue" as a base. From there i worked in the order presented to sponge on a gradient to each nail. I of course began with the darker "Side Saddle" and followed with "In Awe of Amber."

I finished with a generous sponging of "Blond Bombshell" near the tips of each nail. I brought together all mt spongy madness with a coat of "Glass Slipper" on each nail.

"Gold Fruit Punch" Feat: China Glaze "Wicked Style"

I have for you today a mani i don't love on me, but might adore on some one else. I love all these polishes but not in this combo, i'm dumb sometimes.

NYX "Gilded Glitter"

Here i have for you straight pictures of "Wicked Style." Wicked Style is from China Glaze's "Electropop" collection that i have entirely fallen in love with. Though this isn't my favorite color on me, i can not deny the perfect formula, dreamy coverage, and smooth glossy creme finish. I've only tried three out of the 12 polishes, but none of them have let me down. Wicked Style is on the border of red and pink, i'd say it's a red with a splash of white in it. 

I wanted to add a little extra to this red so i sponged on some of "Jamaican Out" to about half way down the nail. This is another polish i love but never wear, because it's a weird orange. A weird shiny shimmery iridescent orange!

And i topped this all off with NXY "Gilded Glitter" i love this polish! My lovely lovely Secret Valentine got me this with my gift. A polish i've been staring at, and had not been able to find around me. It's a gold flakie! It looks like just flakes of gold, seriously, how jealous are you right now?

Candy Canes Feat: Orly's "Ruby Passion"

Of course, with all the holiday manicures being posted every where i look, i could no longer maintain my bah-humbug attitude and decided to jump on the band wagon with candy cane nails. And once again, i took it to far with the attempted fierce and some what spoiled my sweet treat with more glitter then necessary. It was still fitting for the occasion, as on the night i did this mani, i was on my way out to a punk rock Christmas show. Every year for the past three years my dad has taken myself and the family to The Vandal's "Christmas Formal." It was a fun night with a festive mani, but next time i will know when to stop.

 

For my base of the candy canes i went with the unconventional approach and used red as a base. This particular red is one i picked up cheap from a blog sale. Orly's "Ruby Passion" is something i never would have bought in stores for retail because i'm not much of a red person. The light silver shimmer embedded in this candy crimson was just the right sugary sparkle i needed for me candy canes.

With an Art Deco striper polish in white and gold i created diagonal stripes in varied widths and random distances from each other. I'll be the first to say that my stripe spaceing was a little odd, and i was not perfectly happy with it. But this was a learning experience. With the gold striper i did one or two gold glitter stripes on each nail over the white.

As i often do, in my impatiences i managed to bump one of my nails during the drying process. Not happy. Of course i did the only thing i know how, and that was cover it with glitter. The glitter i used here is called "Twilight." It seems to be a special edition polish by Orly put out for the holidays. It is sold along side a similar micro glitter in a clear base in the color gold called  "Shooting Star."

I told myself i'd be on a no buy soon. A no buy anything. But really, i can't help myself. I just got another three polishes and i'm about to place another shadow order. >.< When you're not paying rent you tend to have some money to throw around. I'm enjoying it for sure, but i still need a new purse. >.> Mall this weekend?! This isn't my favorite look ever, but i promise there are some better ones coming up :)

Cherish (Yellow/Red)

Hellllooo postage lag! I need to get my crap together. I went to go see Rancid last night (sickkkkk) in Pomona. Third time i've seen them and they never disappoint. I even got a drum stick this time ;D. So i'm a little sore from being crushed last night so excuse this sloppy post. Been to any good shows lately? Have any planned?

Hey hey everyone. Now, if you pay attention, you may remember me mentioning something about changing my hair. Today you'll be able to see a bit of it. I think i took better pictures but they are not on my computer yet. Burning Revenge (Red)

Ello ello! I'm in a fantastic mood right now, i just submitted my guest look to Makeup Zombie and i'm still in awe of the fact that i have soared to 100 followers this past week! I've been so excited lately. I hardly know what to say right now other then thank you to all of you for the support. You keep me going. OH! And i just got new storage for my makeup, which i'm even more exited about. At the end of this post you'll be able to see my new and improved arrangement for my nail polish, it's quite nifty, but only capable of holding my current collection, and not much more. It'll have to be changed soon.

The Stupid, The Proud (Red/Gold)

Good day lovelies! Today i have for you one of my favorite looks this week. I took the time to sit down and actually put some effort into this look. And really, i like it so much, any negative opinions will be automatically ignored. But you lovelies are always so nice to me :) I hope you like this look as much as me. Earthen (Red)

Hey beauties! And a special hello to my new follower! Every single one of you counts, and i love you all. :) Today was an awful day! Work was soooo slow i though i was never going to get out of there. But now i'm home and i have a ton of fun log stuff i can do! Woooo! Even though i was having an amazing time on my party spree last week, i missed updating every day. I don't feel as close to my followers when i'm scheduling posts for the future. Here is my look for today. It's kinda an odd color combo for me, but i reallly reallly liked it.

Cut (Black/Red)

I love this look. And it only took two colors! I hate using only one or two colors because i have so many! It almost feels like i'm wasting a day if i don't take advantage of my collection. I wore this the day i went up to Fresno. I hate that place. Hobos and hospitals. That's all they have over there.  I don't have a lot to say today, so just enjoy.

Sizzlefoshizzle (Red/Yellow/Orange)

Hey ladiesss!!!(And guys) Today, minus the 5 hour drive to Fresno was an excellent day. As i've mentioned before, my dad was run over by a truck, some time near the end of march. Today we're going on about a month in the ICU, but today was an excellent day. Last time i came up here he was knocked out 24/7 and he didn't even open his eyes. He didn't even know we where there. But today i walked into the unit and his eyes and mine lit up when we saw each other. He was talking (whispering) and wide awake when we showed up today. it was wonderful to see he making such exceptional healing progress. Might even be out of the ICU soon. Yay progress!

Maybe Mars (Orange/Red)

Yay matte! I like today's look. I like it lots. Mostly because i always love using Flamepoint and Love+. And for any of you out there doubting the extreme power of Sugarpill shadows...i will not explain why they are beyond amazing. You may have noticed lately in some of the photos that i have some dark roots showing...or just don't show my hair at all. Well yesterday i went to ge bleach it, and after sticking my head under the faucet in the bath tub to wash it all out...twice, getting water every where and having it run down all over my face, all of my makeup was still perfectly in place. Everything looked just the same. None of my shadows had smudged, and nothing was all ugly like i expected it to be :D 

My Chemical Romance Concert Look

A lot of you may know them as the lamest band on earth, but i love My Chemical Romance. I saw them way back when on the Black Parade tour but just this past weekend i was able to attend the show at the Palladium in Hollywood. My excitement was huge. Unfortunately the excitement of hundreds of other fans was much greater then mine, because by the time i got to Hollywood at 3:00, the line had already wrapped clear around the block.

To Early (Black/Red)

They just won't let us go. this morning i had to drag myself out of bed into the morning gloom for graduation practice, it sucked. Not that it was like super early or anything, but when you've had the sleeping schedule of a hamster for the past week, getting up at 7 isn't much fun. So i had about fifteen minuets this morning and decided to throw together a quick look. This isn't much but as i type my friend is in the bathroom touching up his next guest drag look. So if this is a let down you're going to have that to look forward to :)

Squished Strawberries (Red/Pink)

Guess what everyone?! I'm doing this post from my bran-new laptop! My family (mom,dad,grandma,grandpa <3) surprised me yesterday with it for graduation. You know, even though my mom woke me up at 9 in the morning that day (after i had been up till about 1) speaking quite loudly at me to get ready because we were going to the grandparents house. I was just like....whyyyyy? But yea, Pleasant surprise. Today's look was supposed to be more red then pink, but i got to carried away with all my pinks. my red selection is semi-limited. You know limited as in i don't have like 6 different shades. Hope you like it any how

Burnt Out (Red/Yellow)

If i were to make a list of things i'm sick of right now, it would never end. So i'll spare you your time. I'm ready to wind down for the night but i wanted to get this post up because i feel...weird not doing it every night now. I've gotten into the habit and it's hard for my mind to rest knowing i haven't posted my LOTD. Is my passion showing yet? lol. Oh and today i got a lovely e-mail from Photobucket. I am nearing my maximum amount of bandwidth for this month and it will reset on the 26th of next month. I have 3GB left on my current account for the month. -__- So how do we solve this problem with out disabling all my photos 'till the 26th?! Open a new Photobucket account of course! Enjoy. ;)

Stay Classy (Red)

So it's what...middle of may, and it started raining here. Wtf weather. wtf? So i'm spending a day in chilling out with Stereomood, because it's awesome and picks random music i've never heard before. But yes, This Look! I was very excited about it, becauseee i just got all my new colors in from Antoinette's Revolution (:D) I can't wait to start swatching and sharing those with all of you. I'll be doing the swatches in sets of four of five to keep from having one post just over loaded with way to much info. And by splitting them up i can give you a better idea of what each color really feels like. I also have a growing stock file of just tons of lipstick, so when i run out of swatch posts, you'll be seeing some lipsticks...lots of lipsticks. I think i have pictures of like four or five ready to go. To The post!Today will be using most all Antoinette's Revolution products.

Got This (Red/Orange)

Guess what every one! I got offered a position at Aero! (Yay) This will be my first job so i'm preety dang excited. The only problem i'm gonna have is dressing all toned down and not so skanky.>.< So i went out today and got a few plain t-shirts, decent length shorts, and colored tanktops. It's going to be interesting. Because i kinda dress the way i do my makeup, over the top and a bit too eccentric. I can handle it! I wore this look to Walmart today. It was an excuse to do my makeup today. lol.I'm gonna have to talk to my new manager about my makeup, and how crazy i can get with it.

Miss Matches (Red/Yellow)

 So as you may or may not know, i do my makeup like almost in the dark every morning. I have my purple Christmas lights and my lighted mirror, but that's really it. I'm not fond of light before the sun comes up. I'm a vampire that way. So yea, i had all the colors i wanted to use for today's look in my head. But when i went to write them all down, i realized that i had grabbed one wrong jar of BFTE. I meant to use Isis, but instead ended up with Livid. >.< I was angry at myself for a few seconds, then i saw the pictures. And it worked. I still felt super stupid for not realizing it was the wrong color. I even looked at it, and though, wow, this looks awful dark for Isis... Have you ever accidentally used a product you didn't mean to in a look? I'd love to hear, how did it turn out?
