Softlips Cube lip balm

Recently I received a package from Influenster.com. Influenster is a free program which sends out sample boxes based on age and demographic. I was lucky enough to qualify for the Dean's List Vox Box.
Among the variety of items received in my Vox Box, I received this Softlips Cube.
Jumping on the bandwagon and of interestingly shaped lip balm's such as the most popular egg shaped Eos, this cube features a rounded lip balm in a clear cube packaging.
The balm itself is quite pleasant. The sense I got is rather sweet, reminiscent of sugary cereal. I do not mind the smell, and think it smells delicious on my lips. But it may not be for everyone
Thus far, this lip balm has not proven to provide any notesble hydration of my lips.
Over all, it is a good product. However, nothing particularly special about this, other than that it is in the shape of a cube.

NYC Big Bold Lip Balm (Vox Box)

Last night I got my very first Influenster Vox Box. I was eligible for the "Varsity Box." Influenster send bloggers these boxes filled with samples according to their interests and lifestyle.
One product I recieved was this NYC Big Bold Lip Balm.
It's huge. Basic NYC style product in a classic peach shimmer shade.
The applicator is huge, as ou can see compared to my finger tip.
The doe foot hold a good about of gloss and comes out clean.
The gloss itself smells like baby powder, which is a nice change from artificial flavoring a in gloss.
The shimmer and color are light, making this product perfect for daily wear.
There was nothing I particularly disliked about this product, but nothing that was particularly spectacular either.
The price is $2.99
I'd like to thank Influenster.com and the Vox Box Program for providing this profit for my review.
My expressed opinions are honest and fair.

Lime Crime "Palette d' Antoinette" Sneak Peak

Hello everyone! I'm so excited right now. I just bought my ticket to this year's Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas this June. It's a three day music festival like no other, and will be my first "rave." I'm so excited. I also have for you today a peak at my first Lime Crime order!
I ordered the new "Palette d' Antoinette" and the "Sweet Antoinette" lipstick trio.
I have so far only tried two shades out of this pallet but am thus far pleased with the over all quality. With Lime Crime you are paying for packaging. My experience so far has led me to believe that Lime crime does produce a quality product, but is slightly overpriced compared to competitors dues to their elaborate packaging. However, that is Lime Crime's deal, they sell cute and fantastic. Honestly i'm. still very happy with my order
Out side of the pallet.
Inside .
Back.
Each photo is taken on the shade on the left, and in the sun on the right.
Royal Flush – pastel pink (matte)

Absinthe-Minded – light green (matte)
Macarooned – peach (matte)

Ribbonesque – lavender (matte)

Mercurious – metallic silver (sparkle)
You can buy this pallet HERE

On to the lip sticks! As mentioned be fore i purchased the "Sweet Antoinette" lip stick trio. This trio contained "Great Pink Planet," "Coquette," and "Countessa Florescent"
Of course the purple unicorn lipstick tubes from Lime Crime are a big selling point, but i was also very pleased with the quality of the product. Each lip stick applied smoothy with a delicious vanilla creme finish. The scent is not over powering but rather a reduced vanilla that disperses and disappears over time. I have experienced various wear times with each of these, but each has lasted well into over three hours before i had to re-apply. "Coquette" has become my favorite out of the trio, though "Countessa Fluorescent" is an automatic love due to its close similarity to MAC "Candy Yum Yum"
  "Coquette"

All the products i have shown you today are Vegan and Cruelty free. My overall first impression with Lime Crime Cosmetics still stands as a good one. The product portion sizes are a little small for the price, but Lime Crime is known to be kind of a novelty company due to the up-kept unicorn and fantasy theme. I am currently fulling enjoying every product of my purchase and will have swatches soon <3

Revlon Color Stay Liquid Liner Review

What? What? Makeup? That's not polish?! Madness! Well for you long time followers, you know that Kattatonic Fierceology used to be a makeup blog featuring reviews of drug store products, daily makeup looks, indie makeup swatches, and the occasional feature of a bottle of polish. Recently i've felt my love for makeup rekindled and picked up a few new things for my arsenal. Today i have a Revlon Color Stay liquid liner :)
Revlon Color Stay Liquid Liner in black, obviously.
The, brush? for this liner is not like a paint brush and is limited on flexibility. Its more of a felt tip pen type applicator, but it loads up on liner which i consider a plus so that i don't have to go back five times for more liner. The long cap makes this liner easy to hold and even for me, a novice eye liner applicator, i found this liquid liner easy to work with and simple to control. On the right is one stroke right out of the bottle not wiping off excess. It makes a thick line but the tip can be used for precision application since it's a felt tip applicator.
I don't know if i just have sensitive eyes or if this will be a problem for many. Although i love the formula of this liquid liner it did sting my eye lids a little a few seconds after application. This wasn't an urgent burning sensation, just a minute or so of discomfort.
The liner lasted me well through the night and i did not experience any smudging, movement, or bleeding. Over all i like this liner and i would recommend it to any one who is just starting out using a liquid liner. I usually don't love Revlon products, but so far this one has impressed me.
This liner delivers: Clean lines, easy control, opaque formula, long cap for easy application, long wear, no bleeding or smudging
This liner let me down: Mild irritation upon application, stubborn removal
This liner was worth: I got this liner at Target for under $8, i feel this product is worth the price for any one who needs a liquid liner or a back up for an old one. It's a quality product that i have seen little problems with.

Pure ICE's "Spit Fire" (Review)

I just slammed my toe into a cabinet! Owwwwww...owwwwww. Just though you might want to know. Also, if you we're wondering when these nail polish reviews we're gonna stop coming, this is the last one for now. I had these three lying around for a while and i wanted to post them before i forgot entirely. Plus, they give me extra material to fill in for the days that i don't do my makeup. It's ummer, i'm so out of routine, i'm not doing my makeup every day..More like every other day. So that might explain why every other day you get a look, and the days in between are other stuff...Like this polish review!

Unique Pigment's "Danja Zone" Collection

I don't remember how i came across Unique Pigments, but i'm so glad i did, because they just recently released the fantasmic "Danja Zone" collection. Though i'm not a fan of buying shadows in collections because they often include colors i don't want, i spend hour after hour gawking at every color in this collection. The little makeup monster inside me had decided that i NEEDED this collection. It was right. It arrived today, and i am ecstatic.
WARNING: This is going to be a giant post with tons of pictures

Pure ICE's "Super Star!" (Review)

I really enjoy how Pure ICE uses exclamation points in their names. This is simply a white polish, but some of you out there, like i was, are looking for an exceptionally white, whit nail polish. Well here is one that might strike your fancy. And it has a fun name...SUPER STAR! hahah.

Cover Girl Lip Perfection in "Rapture" (Review)

This was one of the colors recommended to me on the Cover Girl web site. They have this neat little tool that helps you pick out colors and tones that supposedly look good with your skin type and what not. I'm really glad i listened to it, because had i not, i would have never found this amazingness

So Appealing Cosmetics (Review)

I've mentioned it a few times before, but it's finally here, you get to see the samples i got from entering the "Name The Trio" contest on So Appealing's Blog. I just didn't want to show off the fact that i got some free stuff, i also wanted to take this opportunity to repay the generosity and give So Appealing a little bit of a spotlight on here. I do genuinely like the product, so this is most defiantly an honest review. You gals know how i am, no sugar coating here.

Rimmel’s Moisture Renew Lipstick in “Dreamy” (Review)

Again, this was just a random pick up for really no reason at all other then for some reason this color was speaking to me. I really loved the last Rimmel lipstick I picked up so I thought I’d give this one a shot. While I still love the formula, I’m no so crazy about this color. Only because it’s kinda sheer, and I’m not a fan of sheer lipsticks.

Revlon ColorBurst Lipstick in “Candy Pink” (Review)

I was at Target recently and while browsing the makeup isle I spotted this tube. The bright pink swatch on the tube screamed at me and I screamed inside. I thought I had finally found it, I thought I had finally found an acceptable dupe for MAC’s Candy Yum Yum. How the joy that was flooding my heart, I could hardly speak! Then I opened it ,and realized my vision must have been severely impaired seconds before. While the packaging shows this lip color to be a delicious soft pink, it ended up being all wrong for what I wanted it for. It’s still a decent color, but I was never the less, disappointed.

Revlon Perle Eye Shadow in "Lilac Shimmer" (Review)

This was another shadow i got in the Products for Prom Haul specifically for my Prom Look. I just needed a light purple i could destroy for this look, i ended up using a lot of this a i kinda like it as a serious shadow as well. But i do't like it that much, and you'll see why in the swatches.

Cover Girl Eye Enhancers in "Purple Pop" (Review)

I got this shadow along with my  Products for Prom, because i needed a purple i could annihilate and not care about, and i wasn't willing to sacrifice my Poison Plum by Sugarpill. I didn't get this shadow expecting anything amazing, and truthfull it didn't really deliver amazing. I swatched it today on my arm and it's already worn off. I usualy have swatches on my arm for quite a while, not this one.

Maybelline Color Plush in "Taupe Temptress" (Review)

Like the Color Plush "Sapphire Siren," this pallet was also a part of the Products for Prom haul. And even though i didn't use these in my prom look, i had to have them. I was really meh about this apllet when i started swatching it, because i wanted it to be more pink. I guess the name Taupe Temptress should have tipped me off. In the end i still really like this pallet and actually wore some colors from it today in "Playing Safe"

Maybelline Color Sensational Lipcolor in "Fuchsia Fever" (Review)

Yay! I always get excited when i finish reviewing a haul post! this is that last review from part one of the Quest for Candy Yum Yum. Be sure to check out the rest of the lipsticks from this haul. While they may not be the perfect CYY dupe. Some of them are still amazing. But this is my favorite by far.
