Dripping with Holo Feat. Color Club "Voo Doo You Do"

I tried a drippy mani the other day. It felt like the tips of my nails have about nine layers on them. I piled it on thick for sure. but i loved it. It looks so ooey and gooey. I think it was appropriate for the design. On an unrelated note, work days just seem to get longer and longer. It's cold out side and that makes me sad. And i need a new jacket....okay i don't need, i want. And Halloween is on a Monday. i don't know that i'm gonna do a Halloween mani, so don't look forward to it. I'm not to festive.

For this mani...
Blue Cross "Green Glowing Glitter" pumpkin
Sally Hansen "Brisk Blue"
Kleancolor "Chunky Holo Teal"
Color Club "VooDoo You Do"

I began this look with two coats for Color Club's Voo Doo You Do from the Back to Boho (part B) collection. This color is a sleet gray with an almost metallic finish. I'm indifferent to it. I'm more of an exciting colors person. Honestly, i own all of Back to Boho, and i'm not really crazy about any of the colors. They're nice, and i'll use them for sure. They're just not my favorites.

What i did second, after Voo Doo You Do, is i put down two coats of the glow in the dark pumpkin. This was something i though was pretty neat. Since the formula is pretty sheer you can't tell its on there, unless you know what you're looking for. I also think making a dark color glow in the dark is freeking rad. Because it's unexpected, you know?

Next i took Brisk Blue and my dotting tool to make my drippy design. During this process i realized that i need art brushes. I've just been living with out them, but they realllllyyyy would have helped my connect my dots in a not so chunky and thick fashion. And would have probably kept my fingers a little cleaner.

After Brisk Blue, i used my Chunky Holo Teal only over the blue. I wanted glitter all over my nails but i also wanted a separation. Plus, i love looking at the holo glitter over blue. It's mesmerizing. :3

I wish i took pictures in the sun. But i'm lazy, so use your imagination.
