Guess what every one? I'm in Colorado! My dad and i are on a mini vacation to Denver to see Social Distortion, back to back shows at the Ogden Theater. I'm excited for the trip, but being from Southern California, i am going to freeze my booty off! For example, it's basically winter here, and our lows have been around 50 degrees. Right now the high is like 48 in Denver. Wish me luck. Anywho. I have today for you another rather icy cold mani. I seem to have a thing for blues and silvers together lately. They're just made for each other!
For this mani i used
China Glaze "Blue Island Iced Tea"
China Glaze "Lorelei's Tiara"
Color Club "Sugar Plum Yum"
I received "Blue Island Iced Tea" about a month or so a go from a blog sale of another Polishaholic. When you buy polish from other people and try it for your self you learn why they sold it. Though this color is a stunning blue like the reflection of the summer sun on a shimmering lake, it has a kinda awful formula. It took me about three solid coats to achieve even this color and i still feels like it's rather sheer. However the silver shimmer and aqua amazing give me reason to put up with the formula.
When i first saw the Eye Candy swatches from the new China Glaze collection, i was rather unimpressed. Even now, you the reader looking at this picture may feel the same way i used to. Let me tell you this. Polishes such as "Lorelei's Tiara" were not made to be photographed. It's made up of tiny silver glitter and is popped up by bright blue hex glitter. On it's own it's a litter sheer but easy to build up. This is one coat over the previous "Blue Island Iced Tea."
You may have seen in my last post the other amazing Color Club glitter "Very Merry Berry." For this mani i used a similar glitter from the same collection called "Sugar Plum Yum." Also a chunky scented glitter, this polish sports purple and green not quite hex but not quite round glitter. With this i used a bit on the tips careful not to move to far down my nail.
And of course finished with a top coat.
