I have the best co-workers in the world. They keep giving me polish. Last week one gave me a Kleancolor Chunky Holo, and today a different one gave me six, count 'em SIX brand new OPI polishes. Four of which are shatters. One from Katy Perry, and the other from Serena Williams. I am happy. They makes my days so much better. However, i am still sick, so i'm going to stop typing and start posting.
For this mani....
Luminous Colors "Tangerine" (I don't know the real name of this polish)
Blue Cross "Orange Glitter" Pumpkin
Color Club "Antiquated"
Wet n' Wild (Name Unknown)
I began this mani with the odd color of "Antiquated"
Many people have mixed feeling about this odd ball addition to the Color Club Foiled collection. It gives and old timey antique feel when in the right light, but mostly remains silver. Over all i'd describe it as a light copper.
For the second step in this i cut rough tape strips to put down the center of my nails. Tape manis are my favorite because there are endless possibilities with tape. And all your designs will come out crisp and clean! If you really want a color to show through but want to add some others, covering a portion of your nail to save that color can be perfect.
After i put down my tape i used the dark opaque orange and sponges on either sides on the tape. I faded it out toward the beds of the nails and piled it on heavy on the tips. I really wish i knew the names of these colors. -____-
More toward the beds of the nails i sponged on some of the orange glitter pumpkin. This got messy.I tried not to go overboard, but its hard not to do that with glitter, i love glitter.
And then, not removing the tape yet i covered my orange and glitter with the unknown Wet and Wild orange color. This gave the sides a uniform and united feel to make the color and glitter not seem so random.
After this i quickly removed the tape to reveal my nice and clean Antiquated coat. :)
