I've been getting a huge influx of polish over the last month so i've been doing my nails almost every day. I hope the makeup junkies don't mind a few days of nails because to be honest, i don't really have many makeup looks of much interest. It's been a lot of the same old, same old over the past few weeks. i have a few looks on my computer that i'll put up, but right now i much rather post these nail looks because i'm pretty proud of quite a few of them. Enjoy this new twist on a nude :)
For this mani i used...
China Glaze "Jamaican Out"
Color Club "Almost Famous"
Color Club "Nomadic in Nude"
OPI "Navy Shatter"
I started with two coats of Jamaican Out. This is a color i never though i'd love. Its red with an orange flash. Not only is the blood orange color simply stunning, it also has the absolute perfect finish; a high gloss shimmer even with out a top coat. Read more for a step by step on this mani :D
Second, with Almost Famous, a bright in your face yellow by Color Club from the Poptastic collection, i used a cut foundation sponge to apply it to either corner of each side. I didn't aim to make this perfect but left it rather messy keeping it with in its respected area.
With Nomadic in Nude from Back to Boho i used the opposite side of the same sponge to apply the color on half the nail. Using the clean side of the sponge i blotted to bring the colors together in a more cohesive fashion. Really, this combo was pretty unexpected, but it worked well :)
Then on the tips i used OPI "Navy Shatter" Like i mentioned in one of my previous posts i don't like shatter all over the nail and shatter tips are some of my favorites. This also gave the look a little more of an interesting element
