Antoinette’s Revolution "Marie" & "Von Fersen"

Pin It
Hello every one! Trying to get back on track by scheduling posts for the next couple days so that i don't leave all you lovelies hanging. I really do feel bad when i don't get around to posting >.< Today i'll be doing a Color Feature (weather you like it or not) on Antoinette's Revolution's "Marie" and "Von Fersen" I though i'd throw these two together because they're both blue, but because mostly of the whole Marie/Von Fersen affair in history and what not. Enjoy

Oh, i don't know what the malfunction was today with my camera, but some of these pictures are just awful. I found "Marie" was particularly very very difficult to photograph. Is that really a complaint...Dear ARC, "Marie" is too hard to take pictures of. Please fix this. This is stupid. Just bear with me. There are good pictures in the lot as well. I did my best.

"Marie" first

ARC's Description: Marie is a beautiful soft blue, with tons of turquoise shimmer that makes this color electric! Topped off with hot pink glitter, it's sure to please your inner Queen!

My Description: Now long ago i used to be a huge fan of light, baby, and powder blues.Then i shunned them entirely. But Marie has sparked my love of them again. Marie is a beautiful powder blue with glitter...pink glitter. Who doesn't love pink glitter?! When i see this color, in the back of my mind i kinda see the dress worn by Alice in Alice in Wonderland. It's that very soft delicate blue..But with pink glitter!!
You can see more of the light softness of the blue when it's blinded by the flash (top)
With no flash you get more of the other glitters showing up (bottom)
This color is NOT LIP SAFE

I used the following to swatch both "Marie" and "Von Fersen"
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Milk"
Revlon green cream shadow from "Electric Pop"
NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in "Black Bean"
Top to bottom: Milk, Cream Green, Black Bean
Left=Flash
Right=No Flash
Sorry those are so small, they wouldn't go side by side other wise. CLICK FOR MAXIMUM EFFECT
You can really see a lot of the pink glitter all around each swatch.
Over a white base the true powder blue color of "Marie" shows through. The Pink glitter kinda ran away though because it didn't have much to stick to
Don't ask why i picked green....
But over a green cream base the glitter really made it's debut. It also gave "Marie" an almost holographic look to it. Kinda futuristic even
Over a black base "Marie" actually starts to look a lot like "Von Fersen" The light blue is still visible but almost as a velum type effect.

Now, "Von Fersen"

ARC's Description:von Fersen is a dashingly handsome navy blue, with plenty of shimmer and glitter. Sure to please any fashionista lady, it's guaranteed to be the most beautiful navy blue you own!

My Description:At first i didn't really like Von Fersen, because the dark navy blue didn't really appeal to my taste. But after i started to get to know the true blue, and the loads of glitter inside it grew on me. If you've ever been out in the desert and had the chance to look up at the sky just before the sun breaks, when it's still dark out, but not quite light and all the stars are still out...that is what Von Fesren looks like. A pre-dawn desert sky.
Now there is a quality of Von Fesen that kinda sets it apart from the other ARC shadows, and that is it's consistency. When ever i go to apply it, it seems like it instantly turns to chalk. I think it may be a combination of the dark color and how....dry the shadow is But some times i have a few issues applying it.
NOT LIP SAFE
Like "Marie" i used the following to swatch.
Top to bottom: Milk, green cream shadow,Black Bean
No flash on left, flash on right
Over a white base this color looks a lot like is does in the jar. A rich dark navy blue with hints of sparkles
Over a green cream base it becomes more shimmery and a but more vibrant
And over a black base the navy blue is totally maxxed out and lets all the glitter shine through

Hope you;ve enjoyed this edition of Color Feature.
