Hard Candy "Walk The Line" (Review)

Walk The Line - Liquid Eyeliner in Licorice

Company Description: This superior formula won't budge, even under the most strenuous conditions. Enhance your eyes with a classic swipe of solid black, a subtle shimmering neutral, or a burst of sparkling color. If that wasn't enough, the amazing formula will last all day, all night, or even both! This formula leaves a beautiful, subtle shine.

What I Think: Over all i was very disappointed in this liner. While it is in a cute package, and it looks great in the bottle, over all it fell short of expectations. The brush is difficult to work with, and the coverage isn't even near opaque, and the last thing i want to do with a liquid liner is apply it more then once. I found that it was a little sting-y as well. I don't know if that's the formula or my eyes, but i wasn't  fan.

I love the little sparrow on the cap, and the packaging as a whole.

As you can see here, when first pulled out of the bottle it's a little thick. But not thick in a good way. It is rather "watery" compared to my other liquid liners. If you look at the rest of the wand you can see then it tends to kinda blob together like water does when you drop it on glass.
Intentionally blurry
Personally i love glitter, and this liner has an amazing glitter in it. The green, blue, red, and yellow all come together and work with basically any colorful look. I would use this liner a lot more if i didn't go on like this.
It's not dark at all. the middle line is after going over it two or three times to spread out the blob that the brush gave me. It's hard to spread out with out getting super transparent areas. the brush does not really allow for fine lines. The smaller lines were done after the larger lines with out dipping back into the bottle.
As you can see, the glitter is like a magnificent rainbow, forever doomed to be apart of this mainly terrible black liner.

Price: About $5.00 at Walmart

Worth it?:I don't find this product really worth the price for what i was expecting. If you want a transparent liner like this then it'll probably be good for you. Over all i wasn't entirely pleased with the product.

Will I Buy It Again?: Probably not. I might try another color, but i won't be running to the store to get it

  1. thanks for the review! I almost bought a hard candy liquid liner, because I was told it was pretty good. unfortunately my walmart sucks and never restocks their stuff, so I ended up just getting the cheapo wet 'n wild liquid liner. thank god I didn't end up buying the hard candy one!

  2. You don't want to try another colour, the glitter liners all seem to be the same quality, and their purple solid at least was similar to the glitter I tried =( Thin formula, bad brush (Trimmed mine on an angle and it helped a bit) and the glitter huuurts.

  3. I have this liner in the purple color and I see what you mean about the wand. Its terribly long and hard to work with but for the purple the color payoff was quite nice, kind of dark though. To help with the transperency of this shade of liner, I think applying a black liquid liner on first would really make this look better, definatly make the glitter pop even more. If all the glitters are like this, I might actually buy one. Doing the base liner dosnt bother me and I love the glitter in this.Great reveiw! Check out my blog if ya like :) http://girtasticglam.blogspot.com/
