So Appealing Cosmetics (Review)

I've mentioned it a few times before, but it's finally here, you get to see the samples i got from entering the "Name The Trio" contest on So Appealing's Blog. I just didn't want to show off the fact that i got some free stuff, i also wanted to take this opportunity to repay the generosity and give So Appealing a little bit of a spotlight on here. I do genuinely like the product, so this is most defiantly an honest review. You gals know how i am, no sugar coating here.

So Appealing offers a wider array of products then your normal indie makeup company.

I don't personally own any of the Bath and Body products, but they look fun. Priced from $2 to $14

And do not forget the wide variety of eye shadows. Jars are only $3.75-$5.25,a great deal.The more you spend on a jar the more product you get, no colors are more or less expensive then others.

Now, enough about them, lets talk about what i got!

I received five samples of shadows of my choice, they arrived in this envelope. Perfectly adequate shipping method i think. I think the lipstick printed on it was a very cute touch. Mostly why i even took a picture of it.Shipping took less then two weeks. I "placed my order" on May 1 and got it in either the 10th or 11th...don't remember

DRAGONFLY WINGS 

"★Dragonfly Wings - is a very light green with lost of iridescent sparkle. A very fun and easy color to wear."

I found this color irresistible. It was a green i've never seen before, and it goes on like no other. It's not to dark, not to light, but the perfect mellow green

PEACOCK

★Peacock - is a fun bright sparkling turquoise  

I fell in love with this color the moment i saw it, and i'm thinking i'm going to have to get a full sized jar of this. It's such a beautiful blue, i can hardly stand it! However, it does prefer to be used with a base. But it's still a total love

TEASE

★Tease - is a fiery bright pink with a lot of sparkle and pizzazz 

This color kinda jumped out at me because i didn't have any pinks that weren't like I'M IN YOUR FACE PINK! This was the perfect pink, to be pink but not over the top so much. Has a bit of an orange feel to it, but it's still pink

MAGENTA MIST

★Magenta Mist… Is a soft satin purple pink color. This color is what I consider a satin, meaning it does have a soft sheen and is not matte flat or sparkly.

I chose this color because i'm trying to step out of my comfort zone of overly bright purples. This is also a very beautiful soft purple. The finish is very soft and silky. I like it a lot. But when i say soft, i really mean soffftttt. This is a color you must really pack on if you want really good pigmentation because it's so light

 

BLAZE

★Blaze - is a fiery bright orange with gold undertones and a lot of sparkle. 

I like orange okay, and i really liked this orange because of it's...okay, so you know when you have a fruit orange, and it's not quite ripe yet. Blaze is that color. Except better.This color does not do well with out a base.

Worth It?: I really do think a lot of So Appealing's colors are defiantly worth a try. And at the prices you really can't go wrong. they have some AMAZING colors available. So if you end up don't liking them, you haven't lost much. Some of the colors don't do well at all with out a base, but you should always use a base anyhow, so it doesn't matter much to me.

Will I Buy It Again?: When my samples run out, i may be looking at getting a few full sized jars if i have the money. I do reallly enjoy their colors, and there are some many i want to try! I really like the fact that you have three size options, so you can pick and choose how much you want of what.


Company Overall: Overall, i like this company so far, they have not displeased me. The Etsy shop was a bit confusing at first because each color is listed a few times for the different prices. I did feel like i waited an eternity for it to get to me, but in the big picture shipping was average. I really like the affordability and price flexibility. I'm not really a fancy soap person, but i liked looking at that selection. I really think So Appealing is worth a look
