I saw this color online one day and i knew i had to have it. As you know from the Quest for Candy Yum Yum i looovveee me some gotty bright pink lips stick. I feel like i haven't done a review in forever either! I also feel like i haven't really been keeping up on my posts lately either. Since school got out my life has been a whirl wind of crazy. Graduation...graduation parties, i've been up until 5am a couple times this week. An just yesterday all the fun kinda came to a halt.
Waking up on my BFF's couch at 2 in the afternoon i got a call from my mother with an odd sadness in her voice, dazed from the night before it took me a second to recognize the distress. My dad, a construction worker had been ran over (literally run over) by a water truck on the job. He was working up in Fresno, about 8 hours from where i live. He's in pretty critical condition right now. Just about bone on his right side is broken. The company flew my mother up there last night to be with him. He's currently in stable condition, but this long hard road is just beginning.

What I Think: Like the last Ultra Last Lipwear i bought (Lilac Dream) i really love this lipstick. These lipsticks are incredibly affordable an a very good product for the price. At about $2 each you any one can afford to try these. And as you can see by Blue Rose, they do have a bold color selection, but there are also very pretty neutrals and pinks available. The color lasts and the formula a=is creamy and smooth. Love this.
I'd saw the the bottom swatch is a fair representation of the actual product. The actual lip color has more shine to it
For the price you get this much product. Very fair.
Just for the record, i'm not all to crazy about the square packaging, or the fact that the lip stick does not go all the way down into the tube.
As a result of the lipstick not going all the way down into the tube, i have on countless occasion niked the actual lipstick. This is only one if the few chunks i've taken out of it trying to out the cap on.

Pigmentation with this color is not even a problem. Even with one coat your close to full coverage. As you add more the amazing pinkness does intensify. This lip stick is not heavy, but very soft and smooth. So weather you're wearing one coat or six, it's going to be comfy and you're going to look fabulous.
But with cheap product and intense pigment often comes a smudge factor. Don't plan on eating anything or kissing any one while wearing this

Blue Rose is an amazing bright pink color that works well with a soft or very toned down look. Personally, i wear this when i'm not wearing any eye makeup only because it is so bright and in your face. It has some beautiful blue reflects in it that are really set off by the bright pink.
Right after application. A lot came off onto the paper, but the color still stayed strong on my lips
Just for the record....avoid kissing your kitty when wearing this...she now has a pink nose

Worth it?:Yes indeed. This is a much better quality lip stick then the Ultra Moist Lipwears and well worth the extra dollar. It comes in a wider variety of colors making it perfect for trying new colors. It goes on smooth, stays on long, and has no obnoxious smell that i noticed. I really like this color because of the blue reflects in it. I found it preety unique and very nice
Will I Buy It Again?:Yes indeed. I've come to love these lipwears and i totally want more

Oh my gosh! I hope your dad is ok! Are you ok? I'll be thinking about your family! On a positive note, that lipstick looks beautiful on you! And I kiss my puppy's (he's a blue nosed pitbull) nose all the time after I put bright lipstick on and call him my "pink nosed pitbull" haha.

ReplyDeleteI love this lippy, but I really detest the packaging - the top always pops off in my bag and gets everywhere so I can't really wear them now. I love the blue shift in this colour though, great colour for such a cheap brand!
My caps don't pop off, but i did catch it like...actually sweating one day. it was super weird
