Maybelline Color Plush in "Sapphire Siren" (Review)

Day after day i would see commercials for these pallets on tv, and when i went to the store, i always forgot to look for them. Then one day i finally remembered! Only because there was a big display in the store set up.lol. since getting these with the Products for Prom Haul, i've come to take quite a liking to them These silk eye shadows are really fantastic with me!

Company Description:
Rich color. Smooth feel. Now silk makes shadow new again.
• Exclusive formula with silk pigments creates the ultimate shadow texture and luminosity.
• Ophthalmologist-tested.  Safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers

What I Think: I was super surprised at how smooth and soft these shadows were. Compared to other these do have a softer looking texture and go on super easy. The silky smooth formula allows you to blend with like colors very easy . I didn't have a lot of trouble getting a good pigmentation out of these when used over a base, but alone they spread a little thin. I do think the pans are a little small, i'd like them all to be at least the size of the white shadow.
"Sapphire Siren" caught me eye because of it's shocking vibrant blues
This is probably a better picture of what the colors look like in real life
On the back there is a little picture to help suggest how to use each color. I thought this was a neat feature
They each come with a double ended sponge tip applicator, but this one is kinda a little different then most
One side is smaller then the other, thus offering you better control if you must use this for application.
Big plus for me when i wash ALL my brushes at the same time

The white is a high shimmer white, goes on very nice but lighter and thinner then i'd like.
The Light blue is my favorite out of this pallet. Silky smooth and goes on beautiful
The dark blue is my second favorite. Goes on a little different then what it looks like in the pan
The black has some silver sparkles in it that i really love. Just as silky as the rest. Not a true black, has a blue tint.

The swatches on the left side of each picture are with no base
On the right is over a smudge of NXY Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
While the shadows can stand a lone alright, they are much better and far more vibrant over a base

Price: $7.94 at Walmart

Worth it?:While these are amazing quality shadows with a silky smooth texture like no other, you may feel a bit gypped when you see the price. I think $8 is a little scary in a drug store especially for a new product. When i saw the pallets i was surprised at how little they were. In the end i don't regret the purchase, but i think these are going to be more of a treat then an every time things when i go looking for makeup. It's on the MEH level of worth it. It really depends on how in love with the colors you are.

Will I Buy It Again?:I've already got two and i quite like them, and i'm eying the purple and gold ones. I want to get those but i'm going to play with these a little longer to see if it's truly worth it to me.
