E.L.F. Brightening Eye Color in "Butternut" (Review)

Part two!, of the most recent  E.L.F. Haul. this was a free gift for putting down a bunch of old un-active e-mails at check out. Yay free stuff! When i pulled this out i was kinda like, "eh, not gonna use it much." I'm to closed minded about brow eye shadow, and after getting this it has really opened my eyes. This color is beautiful! It comes in a billion shades and had gold in it! GOLD!

Comes with double ended sponge tip applicator
Company Description:Luxuriously smooth, corn silk formula provides eyes with a neutral base and an awakened brightness. The formula blends into skin for a long lasting, beautiful effect. The 4 color quad allows for both natural and dramatic looks. Mirror in compact included.

What I Think: I really liked the shadows in this quad. they're all super smooth and pigmented. They pick up easy but are difficult to use for intense color with out a base.

Mine got a little messy because before i took pictures for this i was taking pictures of Charcoal, and it's very messy. this is the back of the quad. Has a little sticker that says "Butternut"
What i think is a neat feature of this product is the little mirror under where the sponge tip goes. I can't imagine ever using this, but it's cool that its there.
All the colors in order starting with the lightest on the left.
Top row is no base
Bottom row over NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk
All shadows go on heavy, some more then others.
With flash
Colors are obviously much darker over the white base (on right)
All the colors also last much longer over a base. With out a base they tend to just fall off if not set.
First color on right
Very light vanilla color, good for highlights
 Over white base on top
 Second color
A more peach skin toned color
 Over white base on top

Third color
Kinda like a coffee bean brown. I don't use this one much
 Over white base on top

 Fourth color
My favorite out of all the colors. It's a nice chocolate brown with gold sparkle in it. It's delicious
 Over white base on top

Price: $1.00 at Eyes Lips Face .Com

Worth it?:Defiantly. If your a bit shaky on trying new colors then i'd try once of these quads to benign your venture out of your comfort zone. Thanks to this i'm discovering the wonders of brown. And it's only one dollar

Will I Buy It Again?:Yes, there are many more shades available that i'd love to try.
