Milani Baked Eye Shadows in "Teal the Truth" and "Perrr-fect Purple" (Review)

These metallic baked eye shadows from Milani are a new favorite of mine. I think they're just a tid-bit better then the regular Milani shadows Lilly White and Black Out as featured in the first Target Haul. As opposed to the new Target Haul #2!, which this is the third part of. Now that i've awkwardly combined all those sentences, lets get to reviewing.

Company Description:Captivating eyeshadow powder that features multiple infusions of colors baked on Italian terracotta tiles. Metallic eyeshadows contain richly refined color intense metallic pigments. All of these gorgeous combinations are designed to be used Wet or Dry.

What I Think: As i expressed in the last Milani eyeshadow review, i really like their shadows. But these are even better, Each one has a cute name, but they also deliver on pigmentation when used wet or over a white base. I think these baked shadows are easier to pick up then the normal shadows and are a tad more smooth. I don't know the technical differences between baked and not baked, but i like baked better.

One of my favorite things about Milani shadows over others is the brushes they come with. I use these all the time to get the wet mixed in when i'm using them

When i first saw this name, i laughed, put it back on the shelf...looked at it...and picked it up again.
When it says use dry for a "Softer" look. I think they define soft as, well, non-existent. You'll see what i mean in the swatches.

Teal the Truth is a very preety metallic turquoise. Normally, i'm not one for turquoise, but it never hurts to try new things. Especially in this case. I ended up loving this color a lot, especially when used wet.

Being the crazy cat lady that i am, i had to get this just for the name, And it's purple! I love purple!
Now this picture kinda really washes out the purpleness of this shadow. It's actually a little darker.
More this color. I really liked this color over a white base. But when swatching, i found that this color has more trouble staying on a building up.

No base
When used alone, it's very suble color. Just a light shimmer. Good if you not trying to be dazzling. Though they do have a tendency to just fall off if you don't set it with something.
 White Base
This is over NXY Jumbo eye pencil in Milk
Teal the Truth did much better with this where as Purr-fect Purple was still struggling for a bit of pigmentation.
No base, Wet
Both of these look amazing when used wet, it's my favorite way to use both of them. However, it's porbably just me, but i kept getting clumps out of Purrr-fect Purple. They can be smoothed out with work and more liquid, but who wants to do that?

Price: $7.49 at Target

Worth it?:If you don't like using shadows wet, then it's probably not worth it to you. These are about $2 more then the regular Milani shadows because they're baked and metallic, but i wanted to give it a try. Teal the Truth was more worth it to me then Purr-fect Purple.

Will I Buy It Again?: Meh, I might. I might not. It's going to depend if i fall in love with any of the other metallic shades. Over all it's an iffy product for me.
