L'Oreal HiP Metallic Shadow Duo in "Platinum" (Review)

Trying my best to finish up this Target Haul #2 as fast as i can. Here is the last of the eye products from this haul. If you've seen the Target Haul #2 post you would know that about half of it is new nail polishes....that i'm very excited about. And hey, while your at it, check out Target Haul #1.  Oh, and don't forget about the other L'Oreal HiP duo reviewed form that haulAfter i'm done with this haul i'm going to share my first venture into lipsticks. I got five new ones over the weekend, two or three which i have already smashed into the caps -__-

Here are two looks each using this shadow

Company Description:
Shades are high-pearl, luminous, rich colors that can be used to create an elegant and edgy metallic eye look
Each shade combination is developed to create a striking, complete eye look
The lighter shade can be used for all-over luminous color and the darker shade can be used to contour and define the eye for maximum impact
Crease-resistant, long-wearing color duo includes a shadow applicator
Used For: Defining
For Use On: Eyes
Includes: Eyeshadow
Travel Size: Yes
What I Think: I like this particular duo a lot. Even more so the the Riotous one i got a while back. Both colors in this duo are spectacular over a white base, I love my white bases so i don't really experience the woes of trying to use shadows with no base.  Very pigmented and smooth, i highly recomend this duo if you want go pretty silver in your makeup arsenal.

these are perfect for travel size because they come with that little hide away compartment for the tiny applicator that comes with it. They also stack well with like products. So any of the HiP duos can be piled on top of each other.
The super neat hidden compartment
With flash
Left:No base
Right:Over white base
The flash washed out a lot of color in this photo, you'll see what they look like better in the picture below with no flash
Left:No base
Right:Over white base
As you can see, over a white base these shadows preform exceptionally well, especially the black
Close up no base
The Silver is difficult to build up alone, it tends to be very trasparent
the black has a brown pull to much like the Riotous Duo's dark side

Close up, over white base
Both of these colors are amazing. When over NXY Jumbo eye pencil in Milk the shadows look like they do sitting in the pan. You can see on the black the silver metallic sparkles show up and with the silver it becomes very metallic and metal like. I really love both these colors. They go on smooth and don't require much building

I swatched these on my arm about 2 hours ago, just going about my business around the house the silver with no base came off entirly, the  black is still slightly visible.  Over the white base both colors are still very visible, but look like they have been worn off a it.

Price: $6.79 at Target

Worth it?: Sooo worth it for me. I love the silver, and even though i don't use a lot of black i still really enjoy having it as part of my collection. Both shadows are very smooth and i like them a lot. Color pay off was impressive over a white base, but worn alone with no base these may be a let down. This duo was almost $7 but i think the silver alone was worth the price

Will I Buy It Again?: I'm keeping my eye on L'Oreal Duos. I find a new color combo to fall in love with every time i find them at the store. So yes, i will mostly likely buy this again.
